Administrative Council

How It Originated  A panel discussion about the ways to work towards restoring and further enhancing the Dharma of His Reverence the Gyalwa Jonangpa was organized for eight consecutive days from December 18 to 25, 2009 of the western calendar and year 2136 of the Tibetan calendar.  The meeting was attended by more than forty Sangha and lay dignitaries, which included the Vajra master, two abbots and staff members of the central Jonang monastery in India, the entire staff members of the Jonang monastery in Nepal, representatives of the Jonangpa monks studying at various monasteries in South India, envoys from Tibet, foreign countries, Dharamsala and other Tibetan settlements.  At the same time, with the approval from His Eminence the Kyabgon Khalkha Jetsun Rinpoche, the holder of the Dharma of Jonang tradition, we also consulted and sought guidance from the personages of Jonang section residing in foreign countries, including His Eminence the Choktul Tashi Gyaltsen, the illuminator of the Dharma of Jonang order.  As to that consequence, we gradually decided to establish (Phagyul Jonang Well Being Organization) an association which could represent His Reverence the Gyalwa Jonangpa, and we are happy to announce you that it was formally successfully founded on May 1st, 2010. To work directly under the guidance of both His Holiness the Dalai Lama and His Eminence the Khalkha Jestun Rinpoche, the holder of the Dharma of the Jonang tradition.                                                             To restore and enhance the Dharma of incomparable Buddha Shakyamuni in general and in particular the uncommon portion of the Dharma of His Reverence the Gyalwa Jonangpa. 3. In general the entire uncommon culture of the Snow Land, and especially the Tibetan language which is the unique attributing character of what we call Tibet, are absolutely perfect, we aim to strive for ways to preserve and bring about a common Tibetan dialect.
